Bohemia Ecological Preserve
Full Moon Hike & Picnic
Leaders: LandPaths' staff Heather Knoll and Bohemia Docents-in-training
Join us for an evening picnic at the beautiful 1000 acre Bohemia Ecological Preserve! We'll hike through oak woodlands & open grasslands to enjoy the majestic views from the "Top of the World" with our picnic dinner at sunset, then (weather permitting) hike down in the light of the full moon. Bring your favorite beverage to welcome spring! Moderate hike with steep sections. 2-3 miles.
When and Where: We will meet at 6:15 pm on Monday April 10th at the Bohemia Ecological Preserve, 6773 Bohemian Highway, just past Westminster Woods. From the intersection of Graton Road and Bohemian Highway in Occidental, travel approximately 3 miles north on Bohemian Highway.
The Preserve is on the right-hand side (if you are coming from
Occidental) & looks like a quarry. Watch for staff or volunteers
located at Bohemian Highway to direct you to parking! .
What if it's raining? We'll go in a light rain but heavy rain cancels. If you're unsure about the conditions please call 707.544.7284 after 3 pm on the day of our hike. If there's no special outgoing message the outing is a go as planned.
What to bring: Flashlight! Sturdy boots or shoes, weather appropriate clothes in layers, picnic dinner that can come with us on the hike, water, binoculars, hiking poles or stick, blanket to sit on if you wish.
- You will be asked to sign a liability waiver.

LandPaths is committed to steward this new preserve in a way that creates a community asset. We make this commitment with confidence, knowing together, YOU, LandPaths and the broader community, can create a place that reflects our shared values. This is particularly important and critical, as Bohemia has no public funding.
Please consider a donation for this outing. You can make a donation online below or in person on the day of the outing.
