Description: Join LandPaths, Sonoma Environmental Education Collaborative (SEEC), and Sonoma Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District for the Day of the Child at Rancho Mark West, part of a county-wide, multi-site, family-friendly, outdoor education event reminiscent of Art Trails or Farm Trails.  This will be an open-house-style outing, with pre-registration strongly encouraged, but drop-ins are OK.  Come and leave when you want! Description:Come make history with LandPaths!  During the next two years, LandPaths is installing a brand spankin' new trail system and you can be a part of it.  The Riddell Preserve has no hiking trails currently.  New trails will be used for LandPaths educational and outings programs. By helping build these trails, you will be a part of the Riddell Preserve forever!  Trail work includes brushing vegetation, bench cutting, building structures, and clearing dirt off the trail.  Their are tasks for everyone! Petaluma River Paddle with Friends of the Petaluma River

Place: Steamer Landing Park, 6 Copeland Ave, Petaluma, CA, 94952
Fee(s): No Cost - Standard Free Registration
Description:Please join LandPaths, in partnership with Friends of the Petaluma River and the Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District, for a paddle on the Petaluma River.  We will begin and end at Steamer Landing Park.  This adventure is recommended for paddlers with some previous experience on the water. The route is approximately 3 miles round-trip. This is a Bring Your Own boat experience, however Friends of the Petaluma River do have a limited number of boats for us to use on this day.  Please let LandPaths know upon registration if you will need to borrow a boat. Spring Fling -- A Hike and Picnic in the Wilds of the Laguna!

Fee(s): No Cost - Standard (donations welcome!)
Description:Join us for a walk on the wild side. You’ll learn a little about the City of Santa Rosa’s recycled water program on a working farm (Stone Farm, home of the Laguna Environmental Center). Then, we will carpool to and explore the 100 acre natural area on the City’s Alpha Farm, enjoying the last beautiful hours before sunset. Bring a picnic dinner to enjoy on the bank of the Laguna de Santa Rosa. Our walk will be casual, stopping to talk and looking for wildlife. We will make our way back just before it gets dark and should arrive back to the Laguna Environmental Center by 8:30pm. More >>
