Thanks for your interest!

LandPaths is dedicated to fostering a love of the land in Sonoma County. LandPaths creates ways for people to experience the beauty, understand the value, and assist in healing the land in their local communities.

Experience the Beauty:
LandPaths’ free public outings visit open spaces, farms and parks-in-development throughout Sonoma County protected by your Sonoma County Agrigultural Preservation & Open Space District. Diverse by design, these outings create opportunities for all residents to enjoy the outdoors.

Heal the Land:
LandPaths’ ongoing stewardships projects include; removing non-native plant species to improve natural wildlife habitat, repairing old logging and ranch roads to increase and improve steelhead spawning habitat, and installing nesting boxes and perching sites for cavity-nesting birds.

Understand the Value of the land:
LandPaths' In Our Own Backyard (IooBY) program works with 17 schools, including many schools serving low-income students— often those least likely to experience the outdoors. Students explore and learn about the land through 4 theme-based field trips— Discovery, Watershed, Wildlife Habitat, culminating in a Stewardship project. Click here for current IooBY photos. Email education@landpaths.org for more information.

Volunteer Opportunities
We are currently looking for volunteers for our schools program, stewardship projects, Willow Creek Trail Watch, Carrington Ranch Volunteer Patrol, office assistance, and more. If you or someone you know would be interested in volunteering, please let us know at volunteer@landpaths.org.

We look forward to seeing you soon in Sonoma County's Big Outside!
