Facilities Lead
Michael Swallow
Michael Swallow (he/ him) joined LandPaths in September 2024 as our Facilities Lead. In this role, Michael helps keep LandPath’s properties, infrastructure, and vehicles running at their best.
Before LandPaths, Michael worked a similar role as the Facilities and Shop Supervisor for Conservation Corps North Bay, where he empowered high-barrier youth through conservation-based job training. Michael also spent 14 years managing a small local business specializing in custom electric vehicle components and conversions, where he worked on everything from wiring and fabrication, motor controller programming, admin, and overseeing day-to-day operations. The position also gave him the opportunity to race electric vehicles where he was able to showcase their speed potential; in fact he was able to set a few records including being the first electric motorcycle to win Wednesday Night Drags at Infineon Raceway.
Michael was born between two corn fields in Indiana where he later graduated with a B.S. with Studio Art Emphasis from the University of Southern Indiana. In addition to his on-the-clock experience, as a serial hobbyist he loves tinkering in the garage whether it may be working on motorcycles, fabricating a human powered sculpture, adding to his never ending list of inventions, or looking at fish scales under a microscope. He has lived in the North Bay for 20+ years and often enjoys spearfishing, rock climbing, sleeping under the stars, and spending time with his girlfriend.
