As we reeled from the mass upheaval of the Kincade fire in late October, LandPaths jumped into action. Your whole-hearted generosity, as a donor and friend, made it possible for LandPaths to boldly mobilize—with a less than 24-hour turnaround—to offer pop-up kids activities at Bayer Farm, our dynamic community hub in Santa Rosa’s Roseland neighborhood.
Years of community building at Bayer Farm meant LandPaths was ready to act during a tumultuous time: to get kids outside (some for the first time in days) for insect exploration, nature games, songs, and pumpkin carving.
“Even without the fires, Bayer Farm is where I’d want my kid to be,” said Chris Grabill about his daughter June, a kindergartener in Santa Rosa.
“Today’s camp helped my kids a lot. My sons had a good time. There is happiness and positivity here and you all worked hard with them!”
Rosa Albor Bibian, Parent

That’s not all: One day before, knowing the community needed something to rally around, LandPaths organized a Halloween celebration at Bayer Farm. Hundreds of people showed up! After a rough and trying week, it was a much needed day of smiles and collective joy in the garden.
Our pop-up was even in the Press Democrat, featuring photos by award-winning photographer John Burgess.
If you didn’t make it out for these gatherings, no worries! We have lots of opportunities coming up, including our 18th Annual Holiday Gathering on December 1.
