A warm and hearty thank you to everyone who helped plant redwood saplings at Rancho Mark West with LandPaths! Volunteers showed up for the land and community big time, joining together to plant 4400 redwood saplings over a whirlwind four-day stretch.
The turnout and impact of the day was so big that it was featured in the Press Democrat, the biggest newspaper in the North Bay! You can read that feature story right here.
Here’s a recap of what was accomplished by day:
- 450 redwoods planted on Friday, Dec. 3
- 1,800 redwoods planted on Saturday, Dec. 4
- 1,650 redwoods planted on Sunday, Dec. 5
- 500 redwoods planted on Monday, Dec. 6
This amazingly successful weekend of stewardship will support LandPaths to continue to safely host community gatherings, school visits, and Owl Campers into perpetuity, while helping provide habitat and to heal and protect the watershed, the creek, and the overall health of the land.
