Kristen Martinez

Kristen Martinez (she/her/ella) joined LandPaths in 2025 as a Youth Education Field Specialist. Kristen thrives on connecting youth to the tranquility and power that the outdoors has to offer through the Rooting Youth in Nature initiative.

Prior to joining LandPaths Kristen volunteered with various youth programs and worked on the Mendocino Coast conducting wildlife surveys and marking trees for Wildlife Habitat restoration. Kristen obtained a Bachelor of Science in Forestry and Natural Resources with a concentration in wildlife biology and forest conservation from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

Born in Petaluma, Kristen spent most of her time outdoors. If there was a tree to climb, she would be the first one up there! Kristen has always had a curiosity for the outdoors and a passion for sharing her love of nature. In her free time, Kristen enjoys hiking, reading, playing guitar and being with family and friends.
